Tomorrow people across the country will go to the polls and select the next cadre of leaders for our great nation. As a former campaign junkie — I've worked as Communications Director on two congressional and two gubernatorial races, as well as odd jobs on every election since 1998 — I thought I'd offer my insight into the final days of a campaign from a staffer's perspective. We're a rather neurotic group, so it ain't pretty, but from my experience here's what happens.

Following a bruising primary campaign, former First Lady and now New York Sen. Hillary Clinton delivered a rousing speech on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama to 1,800 supporters in an Aurora, Colo. park. Read our speech analysis and view the photo gallery below.

Several political groups came together on the Auraria Campus in Denver on Wednesday to encourage students to vote early. The one notable exception was the campus Republicans who, although they agreed to co-sponsor the event, never showed. Organizer hope that several activities, including the march and a blowout party on Election Day, will help turn out the student vote. View the audio-video gallery of the march and rally below.

Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Joe Biden's visit to Greeley noted an important, and gutsy, tactical point in the long slog to the White House — give no ground in the rural communities where Democrats have not traditionally fared well. The GOP faithful packed the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland to see Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin. It was the first campaign stop — for any presidential ticket candidate — in northern Colorado in this very long electoral season. View the slide show below the fold.

Dear Marilyn Musgrave: I am not a liberal. I am also not a “Democratic consultant.” When your spokesman called me that, my wife and all my friends laughed so hard it sounded like they were howling. And you know what? Your resulting decision to not come on TV and be interviewed, as your opponent Betsy Markey agreed to do, did nothing more than strip you of the opportunity to get a half-hour of free air time. With Sarah Palin's stop in Colorado today, I have to wonder — does she consider our state pro-America? Are we "real America," or part of that other America? I only ask because at a fundraiser in North Carolina last week Palin talked about how wonderful it felt to be in a "pocket" of "what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation."
