McInnis support for Arizona immigration law drawing appalled reactions
Colorado Democratic Party leaders and rights groups are voicing appalled reaction to statements made Wednesday by GOP gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis, who lauded Arizona Governor Jan Brewer for signing tough, deeply controversial and perhaps unconstituional immigration laws in the country last week. McInnis said he would seek to do the same thing in Colorado were he to win election.
McInnis tax returns only fuel calls for greater transparency
According to partial tax returns reviewed by the Colorado Independent Monday, Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis has earned nearly $2.9 million since leaving Congress in 2005 and joining the law firm Hogan & Hartson. He has paid federal income taxes of just over $680,000, for an income tax rate of 23.6 percent.

DENVER — ProgressNow Colorado founder and CEO Michael Huttner today in the Capitol presented a list of high-powered Washington, D.C., lobbyists who have donated to U.S. Senate candidate Jane Norton since she launched her campaign last month. Combing through Norton's latest finance disclosure forms, Huttner's progressive activist organization found eleven top national lobbyists among her donors, many of them the source of ethics scandals and the targets of investigation.
