Thursday, Governor John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, and Attorney General John Suthers announced that Occupy Denver protesters could no longer camp out on state park land in front of the capitol.

It is rare that this many politicians agree on anything, but in Colorado most seem to agree that it is wiser not to comment on Occupy Wall Street/Occupy Denver.

It was a modest start, but a start nonetheless for disaffected worker bees representing the 99 percent toiling in the 1-percent playground of the rich and famous in Aspen on Monday.

Occupy Wall Street and its many spinoffs may be on its way to getting at least one billboard. EpicStep will donate a billboard if at least 20,000 people go online and vote for a design and a city to place it in. If enough people vote, EpicStep has announced it will donate two billboards in the heart of Times Square.

Glenn Beck, ardent supporter of the tea party movement, spent the majority of his speech at the Values Voter Summit attacking the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Herman Cain made it very clear how he feels about Occupy Wall Street demonstrators and how they should be handled by the Obama administration and lawmakers. Obama should, according to Cain, “tell them to go home and get a job.”

Something's happening downtown, what it is ain't exactly clear. Occupy Denver has no leader. Occupy Denver has no agenda. Occupy Denver has no list of demands. What it does have is passion, anger and so far, a willingness to simply be.

A potpourri of libertarians, anti-war protesters, opponents of the Federal Reserve, combat veterans and labor groups descended onto Freedom Square today in the nation’s capital as part of the ongoing public demonstration occurring in the wake of the three-week long Occupy Wall Street event in New York City.

As lawmakers in Washington look for answers to ongoing economic woes, U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin said he and his colleagues would be “foolish to ignore the voices” of people throughout the nation who have begun to protest and demonstrate against the current inequitable system that is “rigged against their interests.”

Occupy Wall Street? Sure. Occupy Denver? Been there, done that. Hundreds of people have been gathering on a daily basis downtown to spread the word that Wall Street is here as it is everywhere.
