In nabbing bank robber, Aurora cops set off constitutional alarms
Aurora Police conducted a dragnet at a busy intersection last week, stopping just under 20 cars and detaining about 40 people, many of them in handcuffs. Two hours into the operation, the officers nabbed the bank robber they suspected was among the stopped drivers. They also likely violated citizen rights according to constitutional scholars interviewed by The Colorado Independent.

Speaking with Craig Silverman Sunday night on his KOA talk radio show, former Congressman Tom Tancredo restated his challenge to embattled Republican gubernatorial candidates Scott McInnis and Dan Maes. Tancredo said he was set to unleash a multi-state fundraising campaign as a rival candidate unless they agree to drop out of the race. Tancredo announced his intention to run for governor as a Constitutional Party candidate unless McInnis and Maes agree to drop out of the race if they trail Democrat John Hickenlooper in the polls after the August 10 GOP primary.
