A deeply political and influential Colorado gun group is rolling out courses for teachers ahead of a hearing on a bill that would allow school employees to pack heat.

A bill that would have allowed anyone able to purchase a handgun in Colorado to conceal the weapon was shot down in the State and Military Affairs Committee today.

House Democrats argued for over an hour against a bill that would allow Coloradans who can legally carry a handgun to also conceal that weapon. Democrats predicted a more dangerous world if the bill were to become law.
