Site sews up Schaffer connections to Abramoff
As reported by the Rocky Mountain News today, ProgressNow Action unveiled a new website within minutes of Jack Abramoff’s sentencing that shows clear links between the disgraced lobbyist and Colorado Senate candidate Bob Schaffer. The site, SchafferScandals.com, has an inviting front page with neat sound effects, like the sound of gunshots for Shaffer’s war profiteering and sewing machines (operated by small children, I’m sure) for information about the Marianas.

Bob Schaffer -- the state’s not only a key battleground in the presidential race but also the front line in the political struggle to dramatically reform the country’s outmoded energy policies.

Congressman Mark Udall Friday in Vail graciously resisted “piling on” Arizona Sen. John McCain for his now-infamous gaffe last weekend about wanting to renegotiate the Colorado River Compact, while the “cold, dead political carcass” of Udall’s Senate opponent, Bob Schaffer, nervously laughed off what McCain “may” have said to the Pueblo Chieftain.
Schaffer to strut “cold, dead political carcass” at water confab
Bob Schaffer will have the chance tomorrow to further distance himself from John McCain's disastrous suggestion to "renegotiate" the Colorado River Compact when he joins Mark Udall at the Colorado Water Congress Summer Convention in Vail. The two Senate candidates are scheduled to address water policy and take questions from water movers and shakers at 11 a.m. at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort.
