Thank you for your interest in submitting a guest post! We welcome your perspective on the news. We seek a variety of points of view and subject matters in all of our coverage, including guest posts.
Guest Posts should run between 500 and 800 words and should be focused on Colorado-related public interest issues of the day, though if you have a good personal essay in your back pocket, there is no harm in submitting. We do not run shorter Letters to the Editor, and we reserve the right to reject and/or edit Guest Posts. Among the reasons we might reject a Guest Post: politicking by a current candidate for office, personal attacks, blatantly false claims, clear conflicts of interest, fundraising or writing quality that doesn’t meet The Colorado Independent’s standards. Should we choose to run your piece, we will run any significant editing suggestions by the author before posting.
Should you have any questions or want more detail, please email Managing Editor Tina Griego at tina@coloradoindependent.com
