As votes were rolling in at Darryl Glenn’s U.S. Senate election night party at The Broadmoor hotel in Colorado Springs, the candidate explained to voters what he hopes to see happen next month at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
A rival yesterday tried to tie Glenn to the #NeverTrump movement after Glenn was endorsed by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, and Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse, who is a vocal anti-Trump voice.
Below Glenn talks about the nomination process for the eventual presidential nominee.
“What people need to understand is that there’s a small select group of people that are actually going to pick that particular nominee,” he said. “Look, Donald Trump went through the process, he earned the vote, and I am not in support of overturning the will of the voters. That’s why I am clearly stating that we need to support Donald Trump because he’s the presumptive nominee.
