Colorado’s senior U.S. senator, Democrat Mark Udall, was named today to the Senate’s Select Committee on Intelligence, which oversees all of the federal agencies that gather intelligence information on national security issues.
Udall now serves on four committees: Armed Services, Energy and Natural Resources and the Special Committee on Aging.
“I’m honored to add a fourth committee to my duties in the U.S. Senate,” Udall said in a prepared statement. “The Intelligence Committee is critical to our nation’s security; and along with my work on the Armed Services Committee it will help me as I fight for the men and women in uniform who are stationed at Colorado bases, and those who serve around the world.”
