Speaking at a luncheon Sunday in Alamosa, lame-duck Third District Congressman John Salazar said he is already considering running to get his seat back in 2012.
Salazar served three terms before losing this year to Scott Tipton by 4 percentage points.

Salazar also said he is mulling offers for positions in state and federal government, although he declined to go into specifics.
“We’ll continue fighting for rural America in one way or another,” he said.
In the meantime, Salazar said he is back to enjoying his own little patch of rural America with his wife at the family’s homestead on the banks of the San Antonio River. “Right now, Mary Lou and I are back at the ranch, we’re working our cattle and we’re loving every minute of it,” he said.
