On Aug. 6, I became a Newsradio 850 KOA “Insider” – meaning I signed up to get alerted to the latest traffic info and breaking, important news stories of local and national interest.
“The Newsradio 850 KOA Newsflash is emailed directly to you the moment breaking news happens,” the Denver-based news and talk radio station promised. “You’ll be the first to know!”
I was a bit concerned about being inundated with alerts, but thankfully the station has proven to be fairly judicious in its news judgment. Until today.
