Politics watchers around the country are eyeing the roller coaster Colorado U.S. Senate races. Talking Points Memo today posted interactive graphs illustrating the movement according to voter polls over the last two months in each race. The Rocky mountain-style spiky lines illustrating the GOP race pitting Weld County DA Ken Buck against former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton are growing apart. The more mellow Appalachian-style lines illustrating the Democratic Party race pitting Sen. Michael Bennet against former House Speaker Andrew Romanoff are nearly kissing.
The illustrations are based on data collected from the Denver Post 9News poll released this weekend.
Here are the main results from the poll on general election matchups:
Buck and Romanoff tie at 44 percent.
Buck and Bennet tie at 33 percent.
Norton beats Romanoff 45 percent to 40 percent.
Bennet beats Norton 46 percent to 43 percent.
