ColoradoBiz TV treats political observers to a perhaps unintentionally comic video of GOP candidate for governor Scott McInnis talking about his expertise on water the day after news broke that he plagiarized a short series of articles he was commissioned to write for a “water fellowship” at the Hasan Family Foundation– a gig for which he was paid a “sweet” $300,000, as he put it.
“You need a governor who understands the issue. Now I chaired the water committee for years. My background is very intense in business and water.”
That’s what he tells ColoradoBiz editor Mike Cote and anyone who can get paid $300,000 for six articles that are part junior encyclopedia-level “musings” and part cut and pastings from another source does indeed know something about business and water!
The Hasan Family Foudation has demanded McInnis repay his boondoggle fellowship money and his campaign for governor continues under a cloud of uncertainty and in the face of fast-dipping poll numbers.
