Members of Colorado’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community are hosting a Unity Dance Aug. 23 to welcome convention visitors to Denver.
Billed as a party rather than a political event, Unity Dance is open to the public, costs $10, kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Tracks/EXDO Events Center at 3500 Walnut St. and is expected to last seven hours.
A laundry list of GLBT community advocacy groups are participating in the dance party including: Babes Around Denver, the Human Rights Campaign, Stonewall Democrats, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, The Center, Outfront Magazine, Boulder Pride, All Terrain Lesbians Foundation, Hip Chicks Out, Cafe Vivid, Colorado AIDS Project, Project Angel Heart and the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
