It’s the end of the year, and that means, of course, the old e-mail box is filling up with appeals to click on the orange button or the red button or even the blue line to give 2007 tax-deductible cash. Ad when it comes to noting the aggravation of asking for donations, the ever-blunt Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation should win some kind of prize. Weinstein is the outspoken Air Force Academy graduate who has spent the past couple of years battling religious intolerance and flagrant Christian proselytizing within the U.S. armed forces. A few days ago Weinstein (also known for his great quotes and frenetic e-mail correspondences) sent out an e-mail with the subject line Painfully Humbling and Humiliating Request.

ok, here’s the bottomline: there are but 5 days left in 2007……. 5 days left to consider donating to our 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) and still get the full 2007 tax deduction for a donation…..please believe me when I say that it absolutely SUCKS to have to ask!!………..it’s excruciatingly disspiriting, demeaning and embarrassing………but nothwithstanding the personal degradation in asking for this desperately needed help, plz KNOW that we need this most gracious donational support so very, VERY badly, particularly as the unconstitutional “Dark Side” is so inSANELY well financed……
