Like just about everyone on every side of the political aisle, Colorado Congressman Doug Lamborn jumped on the bashing bandwagon to denounce Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the fact that he was invited to Columbia University to give a speech.
This is what Lamborn had to say, in a statement issued by his office:
“It is outrageous that an American university would provide this tyrranical dictator a platform to spew his propaganda of hate. Inviting Ahmadinejad to spout his rhetoric of intolerance and hatred toward Israeli [sic] and the Jewish community perverts our freedom of speech, enhances his position as a threat on the Global stage and encourages his oppressive rule. His speech today paints a clear picture that he is adamant about advancing his agenda of violence and hate.”
