Thousands are expected to march on Washington DC on Saturday as organizations that are promoting the impeachment of President Bush and Vice-President Cheney combine with Iraq anti-war groups for a massive demonstration.
Protest organizations planned the event to coincide with the report by General Petraeus on the Iraq War situation.

In addition to the march, protest organizers also plan a mass civil-disobedience “die-in” around the Washington Peace Monument with current and former soldiers participating. Activist Cindy Sheehan, former presidential candidate Ralph Nader and former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark are among the planned speakers at the Washington demonstration.
Here in Colorado, there are at least two protests planned to coincide with the Washington march on Saturday.
According to Impeachco.com, people are invited to participate in an impeachment rally on Saturday from 3-4pm on the corner of East 6th & Speer in downtown Denver. Organizers say the theme of their rally is to “use impeachment as a tool to stop the Iraq War and force accountability on the Bush Administration.” The group conducts other demonstrations on a weekly basis.
Another Colorado rally is planned for Saturday in Glenwood Springs at Sayre Park from 1-4 pm hosted by the Roaring Fork Peace Coalition. “Impeach for Peace and Freedom” event will feature music and an open mike period.
