In 2005 the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence*, in partnership with state-based gun violence prevention organizations across the nation, measured state gun laws based on a number of criteria.
According to the report, 32 states received a “D” or an “F” grade. Colorado received a “D” for laws in place that shield – or don’t shield – families from gun violence.
