Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean came to Colorado for a short trip yesterday, to raise money for the Colorado Democratic Party and rally the troops.
According to David Montero, of the Rocky Mountain News, Dean spoke to a crowd of about 200 of the party faithful (the suggested contribution was $30) at the Pipefitters Local 208 union hall.
Dean emphasized that if Democrats run on their shared values of fairness, toughness, and fiscal responsibility, they could win as much as one-third of the vote among Evangelical Christians, and also carry strong majorities nationwide, as well as in Colorado.
