While in Denver, former vice presidential candidate John Edwards took time out of his busy day to meet with Colorado’s new citizen journalists: bloggers.
In a packed conference room Edwards briefly answered questions ranging from poverty to straight politics. He called blogs “way cool” and said that Denver would be a great place to host the 2008 Democratic convention.“I think having the convention in Denver would be a great thing,” said Edwards. “We want all of America to feel like they are a part of the Democratic Party. It would be a really positive thing.”
With the nation’s deficit in the trillions, Edwards said we would be in favor of repealing tax cuts made under the Bush Administration to steady the economy. On U.S. torture overseas, Edwards also said it was important for the U.S. to follow the Geneva Conventions.
