The only thing missing at yesterday’s gubernatorial debate in Loveland was a reference to Westworld with Yul Brynner as a gunslinging robot gone bad.
Between the folksy tales of life on the farm (dairy or dry wheat, take your pick) and sniping about Referendum C, the Beauprez and Ritter campaigns’ slogan-in-a-box came through loud and clear:
Bob Beauprez lives in the “real world”. Bill Ritter is looking to the “future world”.
To which I say, stop the world I want to get off.
I seriously doubt that Beauprez will ever be mistaken for an MTV Real World
