Amendment 45, a ballot initiative to make clear that domestic partnerships are not similar to marriage (and hence protect Referendum I instituting domestic partnerships in Colorado from broadly worded anti-gay marriage proposals) has been dropped from the ballot by its supporters.Supporters say that it was designed to counter an anti-domestic partnership ballot measure that didn’t make it onto ballot. This leaves voters with seventeen statewide ballot issues instead of eighteen this year.
