Gene Stille may not have made it as a Republican candidate for the state’s 65th House District, but that doesn’t mean he’s lost the ability to write letters. In fact, two nearly identical letters managed to make it into two Colorado dailies within a month of each other-both praising Rep. Marilyn Musgrave.
Letter 1: The Greeley Tribune
The Tribune did not mention that Stille was a Republican candidate, or that he’s on the Weld County Council–a fact that was reported by the Tribune in August 2005. Instead, it appeared as if Stille was your average concerned citizen in this letter dated July 22, 2006:
