Talk-radio host and voice of the “birther” movement in Colorado Peter Boyles yesterday told Joseph Farah, editor of right-wing website World Net Daily, that he was “80 percent sure [Barack Obama] was probably born in Hawaii.”

The admission came during a discussion in which Farah and Boyles celebrated a recent decision by a California judge to hear a case on Obama’s eligibility to be president.

World Net Daily reports the lawsuit was brought by parties that include former U.S. ambassador Alan Keyes as well as Wiley Drake and Markham Robinson of the American Independent Party.

Alan Keyes, who ran against Barack Obama for the Illinois Senate, has also stated that Obama is “an evil man and needs to be stopped.”

For the past year Boyles has hosted World Net Daily writers and editors to ask the question “Where is the birth certificate?” Recently, as the Colorado Independent reported, Boyles and World Net Daily posted billboards in Denver asking the same question.

Farah told Boyles, “We need reinforcement out there in the media on this. World Net Daily can not do it alone…. That is why we appreciate you so much.”

Like many of us, State Sen. Dave Schultheis, R-Colorado Springs, shares his daily reading with his followers on the Twitter. This week the lawmaker highlights his browsings at World Net Daily and the Drudge Report via the Washington Times. One of the articles he’s recommending runs under the headline: “Liberals seek health-care access for illegals.”

But the Tweet of Week has Schultheis addressing the serious matter of Obama deification. He wants you to know: Pres. Obama is NOT his GOD!

Here he is rallying the twittersphere on the ties between “Liberal Dems” and “illegals.”

There you have it Colorado Springs, your Sen. Schultheis, keeping that reading list narrow so you don’t have to!

From a wingnut corner of the mediasphere, talk radio’s Peter Boyles and World Net Daily have teamed up to bring the Denver metro-area fully into the birther era. Together with roadside billboard owner Phil Wolf, the team has posted two billboards at Kipling and I-70 today asking area commuters to seriously consider the question on the minds of citizens across the country: “Where’s the birth certificate?” Why birtherboards? Because your iPhone screen is just way too small for the Capital Letters question!

The billboards are part of a nationwide right-wing campaign to force Pres. Obama to produce his original long-form birth certificate.

Experts have repeated time and again that the documents presented to the country and campaign officials are real and legitimate documents and that a “long-form certificate” does not exist. **

The roadside ads are just the latest chapter in Boyles’s running spurious campaign against the president. Yesterday at his talkshow website, Boyles posted a disturbing YouTube of New Jersey school children singing mawkish supportive songs to the president. The footage is presented with a nod to totalitarian youth-style devotion to dear leaders. “School kids taught to praise Obama” is the title of the post.

Boyles’s web crew also posted what they could make out of the lyrics.

Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that all must lend a hand [?]
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be clear today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said Red, Yellow, Black or White
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
Yes
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama

segue to

Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all [do? doth??] say “hooray!”
Hooray Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first Black American to lead this great na-TION!
Hooray, Mr. President something-something-some
A-something-something-something-some economy is number one again!
Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And the same for all Americans [in?] the great Red White and Blue!
So something Mr. President we all just something-some,
So here’s a hearty hip-hooray a-something-something-some!
Hip, hip hooray! (3x)

–
** Edit Note: The author has apparently initiated a small blog storm by writing that the “long-form” certificate “does not exist.” This unfortunate turn of phrase was not the result of our uncovering any new information. For those who haven’t followed this pressing matter, this concerns the question of long-form versus short-form birth certificates, which is also the question of “Certificates of Live Birth” versus “Certifications of Live Birth.” Officials at the Hawaiian Dept of Health and officials of the state’s Vital Statistics registrar’s office have verified the president’s birth records, as has the governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, a Republican who at the time was stumping for Obama’s rival for the presidency, Republican John McCain. The Hawaii Dept of Health also reported the birth to local newspapers at the time, which published birth announcements the week infant Obama, with no designs on the presidency, came into the world.

KHOW radio’s Peter Boyles wears labels like “xenophobe” and “racist” as badges of honor, often comparing himself to Galileo and Copernicus; that is, as an outsider-advocate for the truth. During Tuesday’s broadcast, Boyles announced his commitment to the truth sought by the “birther” movement, explaining that he has joined with World Net Daily (WND) to launch an ad campaign questioning Pres. Obama’s citizenship and asking to see the president’s birth certificate.

During a conversation with guest Drew Zahn, WND contributor, Boyles said that, as a result of his on-air efforts, two billboards, pasted front and back with the question “Where is the birth certificate?” would be placed along I-70, where they will be viewed by more than 300,000 Denver-area commuters each day. Boyles said that birther Phil Wolf volunteered the billboards.

The boards will be located on Wolf Leasing Internet & Sales lot in Wheat Ridge.

“One thing led to another and I got a hold of Pete….I told him I’d be willing to donate my signs for the message,” Wolf told World Net Daily.

“It’s a very cool moment,” Boyles reportedly told his audience on Friday. “It’ll rock ‘n’ roll when this happens… Maybe other radio talk-show hosts will do the same and see what their audiences do.”

On Tuesday, Boyles said that though there was a growing call to mention Obama directly in the campaign, he felt that the original copy written by Joseph Farah, World Net Daily editor and chief executive officer, was powerful enough.

“The sign will just simply say, ‘Where is the birth certificate?”

Zahn added that the campaign was not “directly an attack on Barack Obama.”

“We are asking the issue about the birth certificate because it is an issue of Constitutional eligibility.”

Boyles and Zahn attacked fact-check websites. Boyles berated Snopes.com, which he calls “Snoops,” saying that it was an anti-”birther” website. Zahn said it was “the work of one woman in her basement.” They agreed that FactCheck.org’s hosting Obama’s certificate of live birth failed to persuasively counter assertions that Obama was not born in the United States. And neither man mentioned any of the statements that have issued from officials in Hawaii on the matter and that speak to the legitimacy of Obama’s native U.S. birth.

Boyles contended that the birther movement is gaining traction despite mainstream ridicule. “Our billboards are the best example of the forward momentum of the movement,” he said.

“I have car dealerships in Montana and Wyoming also, and I plan on putting up the signs everywhere,” Wolf told World Net Daily.

Why are so many people out there working so hard to debunk the claims? asked Boyles on his Tuesday show. As an answer, he and Zahn quoted Shakespeare in unison: “I think the lady doth protest too much!”
