When Democrat Max Tyler, Lakewood, was appointed to fill a vacancy created by Gwyn Green’s resignation from the Colorado House of Representatives last May, he knew he would have to run to retain the seat this year. Indeed, Tyler’s seat has been pegged by political analysts as one of roughly 20 state swing seats this year.
