			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><i>From hard-hitting investigative reporting to testing the &#8220;wide stance&#8221; contortions of public restroom sex solicitation, Colorado Confidential earned four first place awards among other accolades at the Society of Professional Journalists, Colorado Pro Chapter&#8217;s annual Mark of Excellence Awards.</i><span id="more-3497"></span>Winning nine awards and four honorable mentions for online reporting, Colorado Confidential also swept six of seven categories in the Division B competition for media outlets with circulation between 10,000-75,000 readers. Since its launch in July 2006, Colorado Confidential has won 16 SPJ Colorado Pro Chapter <a href="http://www.coloradoconfidential.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=1743" target="new">awards</a> for excellence in reporting, Web design, photography, and reader interactivity.

Division B contestants were judged by the SPJ William O. Douglas Pro Chapter for southern Washington and northeastern Oregon. Winners were announced at a banquet Friday at the University Club in Denver that featured keynote speaker U.S. News and World Report&#8217;s chief White House correspondent and former Denver Post reporter Kenneth Walsh.
