It’s the taboo subject you’re not supposed to talk about — Barack Obama’s safety in light of the rise of white supremacists in America. Threats to his safety were raised in Denver, Colo., during the Democratic National Convention where three men were arrested after allegedly plotting to assassinate Obama during his nomination speech.

Now, the American News Project investigates in Memphis, Tennessee, where our cameras infiltrate the Stormfront.org Euro Conference. We probe the minds of the Anti-Defamation League, the Racist Skinhead Project and David Duke to assess legitimate threats to the next U.S. presidency.

After trapping the crowd between two buildings, hundreds of officers used pepper spray, batons and unwarranted aggression. After being surrounded for 20 minutes, two American News Project producers managed to escape after recording the whole affair.
