I agree that Hudak and Mitchell's ads are portraying them as champions of alternative energy. However, I am not surprised to see politicians trying to portray themselves as something they are not. Democrat. Republican. It doesn't matter the party, politicians will say and do anything to get a vote.

It would be nice to see the Colorado Independent and other left of center publications taking on "Big Pharma" as zealously as they take on "Big Oil." Judging by the lack of any changes in the driving habits - most notably the number of speeders on I-70 continues to be outrageously high - "Big Oil" will remain an important part of our nation's economic and strategic strength. Why blast an industry that has no control over the price of the commodity it uses and yet you, the media, give a pass to Big Pharma that controls the pricing (at least in the states) at every stage of product development, production and sales. The left's icon, Teddy Kennedy who has no problem with procuring good health care, is the champion of Wyeth drug company in shutting down compounding pharmacies. One of those that will be affected by the Kennedy-Wyeth two-step is Edwards Pharmacy right here in Eagle County. Next time August compounds something for you that you desperately need but cannot otherwise obtain, it may be the last. I never know from one refill to the next when Teddy and Co. will shut down compounding. Why? Ostensibly because it is in the name of safety. Bull..... It is in the name of lining the pockets of BIG PHARMA and Ted Kennedy. He is the best at talking out of both sides of his mouth - one on championing affordable health care and on the other championing one of the industries that have driven up the cost of health care. So please stop with the "Big Bad Oil" attacks and start reporting on some of the real demons in our economy.
