Tipton takes out Salazar in CD3

Both the Denver Post and 9News just after midnight Tuesday called the 3rd Congressional District race for challenger Scott Tipton, a Republican from Cortez, over incumbent John Salazar.

The margin of victory for Tipton was 50 to 46 percent, tipping Colorado’s congressional delegation from 5-2 Democrat to 4-3 Republican.
