		<description>Sure, Palin will draw even more attention in the short-term, but a VP pick isn&#039;t just for a three-day media hit.  Especially considering McCain&#039;s age, which I don&#039;t usually emphasize because I think it&#039;s a low blow, politically speaking Americans have to believe that Palin can immediately step in should something happen.  According to McCain&#039;s own measurements - the ones he&#039;s using for Obama - Palin just doesn&#039;t cut it.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She&#039;ll make conservatives happy with her strong pro-life and pro-gun stances, but as part of the larger strategy it still seems pretty weird to me at this point.</description>

		<description>Its a great choice for that very reason.  Rather than focusing on Obama&#039;s speech, the suprise and &quot;mystery&quot; about Palin is going to dominate the press for several days.  Even if a decent amount is known about her by politicos, most average Joe is going to will be intrigued by a woman from the frontier (who has lots of photos holding fish up on the internet) who is at least easier to look at than McCain.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In a frightening aside, a google search on Palin revealed a t-shirt for Palin as a G.I.L.F....GOV. I would like to ......</description>
