If Lobbyists are going to do the work, why are we paying 1.3 million per year to keep congressional offices staffed. We might as well contract ebay to run the government. Whichever special interest that can come up with the most money or snipe a well timed bid gets to write the laws. At least that way we would have the same disfunctional government without the overhead. The voters didn't put lobbyists into the process.
