Oil shale will not dry up the West as Big Enviro's lobbyists claim. Even under the most water intensive scenarios, there is plenty of water for a reasonably sized oil shale industry.<br><br>Water is simply the latest issue opponents are using to try to kill off the resource. Once it is proven there is plenty of water, they'll move onto the next issue.<br><br>Big Enviro is simply anti fossil-fuel. But, the fact is that even with super-aggressive development of renewables, we'll still be dependent on oil for decades to come. This whole water issue is just a decoy.
