In my opinion immigration isn't even the issue, its our modern concept of social welfare, or at least the perspective of social welfare, that attracts the wrong kinds of immigration.  So we have to set up this elaborate vetting process and prove pre-existing material successes because our society wants to coddle the lazy and we can't afford to take on the planet's supply of lazy people.  It used to be immigrants came here for opportunity derived through hard work, and to a large part it is still true, but there is another type of social attraction that diminishes the type of personalities that would want to come here.

Why is this simple concept so hard for liberals to grasp?

Come here legally, enjoy the benifits of what the U.S. has to offer.

Come here illegally, go back home and come here legally.

It really is as simple as that……oh, yes it is.

Enter the U.S. through the proper channels and they are welcomed into the environment and they HAVE NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF.

Come in the U.S. by illegal means and they never will feel welcomed and they place themselves in constant fear. Why, because they come into this country already breaking the law.

The illegal immigrant places themselves on the wrong side of the law simply by “doing it wrong!!!!” Right or wrong, legal or illegal, don't break the laws or break the laws. Simple choices dictate the outcome of their actions.

Come into this country legally and “Bob's you're uncle”. Don't play by the rules, come into this country illegally and suffer the consequences of your actions. Simple as that.
