These con artists and hustlers are no different from Jimmy Swaggart, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Bakker and countless other lesser-known Bible-thumping fire and brimstone preachers.

It also brings to mind the hilarious and heartwarming saga of Florida Republican State Representative Bob Allen who gave $20 to an undercover cop in a public restroom and offered to give him a blow job because, as he explained later when arrested, he was afraid he was going to be mugged by the scary black man.

Oh, and that postscript! 'Our handicapped son' appears so vile, manipulative and self-serving! The language of the letter is despicable, as the appropriate form would be 'Our son, who is handicapped'.

I really feel sorry for his children who don't have any choice in the matter. I hate having bureaucracy interfere in people's lives, but in this case a visit from child services might be warranted.

Being treated like a rock star doesn't make you a homosexual.  And that's what Ted is, plain and simple.  The difference between a homosexual, and one who doesn't admit it until they've lied to 25 million people about it?

Most follks just go BE homosexuals and live their lives in peace.

Religious nutcases like Haggard have to be a homosexual, AND keep up the nonsense facade of christianity.

Of course he's going to fall flat on his ass in front of everyone.  They all will eventually if they live long enough.

He's not evil because he's gay.  He's evil because he's a liar who proves once again that christianity is one of the most evil things ever to happen to the people on this planet.

These evangelical ministers who claim a special relationship to God are the most repressed individuals in society. Their followers treat them like rock stars, they are paid like rock stars,they want to believe they are rock stars, but yet have  to act like puritans. Eventually their perversion surfaces and is obvious for all to see. The result: many are shocked, but why?

Understand that these guys are hanging by a thread. How long will it be before his perversion surfaces and what will it be?

ALL churches should not be tax exempt – it is time for them to start paying their share – they do use government services and should no longer be exempt.
