Regardless of what you think about ballot initiatives, social conservatives have been using grassroots ballot initiatives for decades now, and it's about time we more liberal folks do the same. Coloradans decisively rejected the so-called personhood amendment, and barely rejected civil unions, in a moderate to moderate-conservative state, at that! If we social liberals play our cards right, we could score major civil rights victories in many states. We're at the cusp of winning civil unions at the ballot box, and it would be great to see more initiatives in this direction. Keep up the great work, so we can show social conservatives that our country is moving forward, one vote, and one state, at a time!
