The Statesman doesn&#039;t bother to question Wadhams on his claim that the Employee Free Choice Act would &quot;eliminat[e] the secret (union) ballot,&quot; which is factually inaccurate and a simple repetition of a right-wing falsehood.&lt;br&gt;2. The Statesman blithely repeats Wadhams&#039; distorted characterization of Mark Hillman as having been a &quot;statewide elected official.&quot; While Hillman was APPOINTED to a statewide office by Gov. Owens, he never has been elected to a statewide office.
