I think part of the problem is defining “pork” — one man's goodie bag is another man's necessity.

As the Senate bill is still being carved up live on C-SPAN I'll try to take a stab at in a quick post tomorrow based on the last revision.

What is the total amount that's being labeled as “pork?” And what percentage of the $800 billion does that “pork” make-up? 2%, 5%, 10%, 15%? What is it?

That's something I don't see stressed nearly enough anywhere.
