Yipes. Her figures don't look promising considering the economic downturn we're facing right now. I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't think of themselves as wealthy. Even if you are wealthy, but think the survival of the middle class is important to the survival of this country, then I'd recommend watching this as well. It will probably affect what you consider important issues and priorities for our government to address. It is long, however it is quite interesting at the same time as being worrisome.

I reccomend a bowl of popcorn with this lecture, long, but excellent.
It's what we've known for some time, and Karl Rove has helped escalate the vanishing of the middle class considerably. The name of the game is for us all to be in "the long trail of underclass" , as Ms. Warren describes it, but the very wealthy who will get wealthier. And note the poorer countries of the world, where there is no middle class, a few very wealthy and everybody else very poor.
It's the GREED at the top that powers it.
Note 1983 when housing had doubled....our good friend Reagan was in. Those were hurtful years to all but the upper tier. I remember frozen wages, and the beginning of creating new positions so the top execs and CEOs could rake in a lot more money, getting it, of course, from their middle class employees.
