Katie Walker was on Colorado State of Mind before the election. She kept repeating that medical text books say that life begins at conception. I don't doubt that a book talking about embryo development would use the word life but I doubt that they were commenting on the constitutional & ethical issues. She also denied every possible consequence of the amendment that was raised. Doctors on the panel spoke of the legal issues that would arise in treating a pregnant woman if they had to consider the righhts of the embryo. She said that was absurd and would never be a problem. She gave the same denial that a miscarriage might require police or coroner involvement. She seemed to be saying that the amendment would have no effect at all or at least only the ones that she thought were proper.

They are certainly obstinate. .. I believe they will lose in other “liberal” states also.
