So nobody is for abortion? Just for choice? If nobody wants abortion, then why is choice even necessary? Truly, it sounds like you want the choice to have an abortion in case you ever need one. Right? I think the baby should have rights as a human being. Women and men know that if you have sex, you're likely to make a baby. It's unfair to be irresponsible by making a baby to start. Why should women be allowed to “get rid” of a problem they put in this world?

If abortion is a huge part of your belief system, then I think it's valiant that you voted for McCain. A strong economy and war come and go. A human life is fragile and finite. Protect that.

Yes, people of faith are against murdering children. But so is anyone with a brain to think or a heart to feel.
God told us "you shall not murder" but science also proves beyond any doubt that every abortion is an act of murder.

Wildflower - if you reject God, faith, reason, science, common sence, compassion, kindness and love for children your not left with anything except the "choice" to murder another person.

SCIENCE IS PRO-LIFE
Science and reason tell us that from the moment of conception a child in her mothers womb is fully human.
In 1981 a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee held hearings on when does life begin? Appearing to speak on behalf of the scientific community was a group of internationally-known geneticists and biologists who had the same story to tell, namely, that human life begins at conception - and they told their story with a profound absence of opposing testimony. The hearings began with testimony from over 20 embryology and other medical text books stating that life begins at conception.

"Father of Modern Genetics" Dr. Jerome Lejeune told the Senate: "To accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion....it is plain experimental evidence."
Dr. Hymie Gordon, Chairman, Department of Genetics at the Mayo Clinic, added: "By all the criteria of modern molecular biology, life is present from the moment of conception."
Dr. McCarthy de Mere, medical doctor and law professor, University of Tennessee, testified: "The exact moment of the beginning of personhood and of the human body is at the moment of conception."
Dr. Alfred Bongiovanni, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, concluded, "I am no more prepared to say that these early stages represent an incomplete human being than I would be to say that the child prior to the dramatic effects of puberty.....is not a human being."
It is an undisputed medical and scientific fact that life begins at conception

It seems the extremist right will never recognize that they can't force everyone to accept their religious beliefs. We each have a right to our own religious beliefs. They never cease harassing poor desperate women and interfering in life-threatening medical decisions that are between a woman, her doctor, and her God.
We also have the right to make our own decisions with dignity at the end of our life or appoint our loved ones to do this for us if we are unable. Rev.Mahoney was involved in the spectacle of Terry Schiavo, was he not? It was touted, she could “see”, as it turned out the autopsy revealed she was blind. I hope I never have to live with the indignity this poor girl went through her last years when she was only alive by life supports.
Shame on Rev. Mahoney for inciting the ignorant flock to interfere with other people's personal lives.
Hopefully, as we improve our educational systems and more people are able to get a college education, the sheeple won't come running every time a person of power calls.
