Colorado is among the top states with potential for solar and wind power. We receive over 300 days of sunlight a year, the eastern plains has some of the most consistent wind in the country, and the front range receives some of the highest winds. As to preserving aesthetic beauty, I believe anything to lower CO2 emissions will help colorados environment, so I'd rather see a windmill than an oil well.
