Loss of Immigrant Workers May Increase Building Cost I watched the special on T.V. with (I think) this very construction company singing the blues about not having enough construction workers available that would do the job for $14.00 an hour… Don't make me laugh! Gould should be informed that the cost of doing business is to pay your “American Citizens” employees a fair wage and chip in on health, dental etc., as it has been with companies in the past. Damn greed will catch even the most honest people if they don't keep their radar up. They don't care if the cost of building goes up it is in reality just greed and the bottom line with them and a growing number of companies. What they do is tell these people (Illegals) that they can't hire them without papers stating they are here legally. So get the papers and we will hire you. Okay, they go out and get some papers and come back and guess what? They are hired…. Did they check to see if the papers were in fact real or counterfeit? Noooo to much trouble and if they found out they were counterfeit they would lose a potential hire. Their loyalty to their country and their own country-men/women isn't even there. I hope this HB 06-1343 hurts them good! I hope that every-time someone suspects that they are hiring illegals that they report them. Sorry fellows, I don't feel sorry one bit for anyone that would work so hard to destroy the quality of life in America for a few extra bucks, no matter how much is involved. Without God and your Country what do you have?

They might have to hire American workers? God forbid!

If there aren't American workers, it is the result of same not being able to find work for the last ten or more years. Kids used to get out of high school, learn a building trade, stuff like that.

I have no sympathy for the contractors who have been un-American nor for the construction owners who turned a blind eye to this for so many years.
