McCain referring to Obama as "that one" when discussing an energy bill vote is not going over well with the pundits or dialtest audience.

Howard Fineman on MSNBC explains it as not a racial knock but "something an old guy would say." Ouch.

I think Obama won this debate because he is more specific about his plans than McCain and demonstrated he is a lot faster with his brain. Some things McCain just doesn't have a clue about, such as how Americans are suffering economically. I agree with cwdaniels that the quote of the night was "the straight talk express has lost a wheel" !
Some of the candidates' plans were eeirly almost the same.. Afghanistan, Russia, among others, just different ways to go about accomplishing them.
I realize the world of peace I had hoped for will not be. Thanks of course to Bush and Cheney and the mess they have mired us in around the world. Noone can accuse Obama of being soft on terror anymore.
After the debate McCain and Cindy left, but Obama and Michelle worked the room, posed for pictures with them (the crowd had little yellow cameras), signed autographs, etc. I was so impressed with their mingling with the audience as ordinary citizens. It looked like a family reunion as the audience posed singly and in groups with Obama. He and Michelle each relate so well to people. I'm sure this audience will enjoy their pictures, autographs, and memories the rest of their lives.
It is heartwarmiing to think this charming family could occupy our White House...Camelot again.
A ray of sun on our pillaged country.
