Back in the day, when I was in elementary school, if you answered the teacher’s question incorrectly you got a swift smack on the back of your head.
Jon Caldara? Get yourself some headgear.
In this installment of the most profane, intellectually-stunted, and ludicrous statement made on Colorado talk radio today, Newsradio 850AM’s Caldara blows a basic school lesson — get your facts straight. On his November 28 show, Caldara launched into this exchange regading New York Rep. Charles Rangel’s recent statement that military recruits from his state tend to be minorities and young people from low income communities:
CALDARA: When you look at Rangel’s quote, he says they’re coming from places with high unemployment, as if to imply that they have no other choices. Of course they have choices. For every two recruits that come from poor neighborhoods — the poorest — three of them come from the richest neighborhoods. We have a pretty good spread of people who want to go into the military. Now, do you agree with Charlie Rangel — is that, is that what I’m going to hear? Let me give you the quote again, that “[i]f a young fellow has an option of having a decent career or joining the Army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life he would not be in Iraq.” Is that something you agree with?
CALLER: No, I wouldn’t say that he wouldn’t bet his life, because I know that there are many soldiers out there who are educated people who do bet their lives every day –
CALDARA: And when he says of recruits that most of all of them “come from communities of very, very high unemployment,” do you believe that as well?
CALLER: Well, if you look, the majority of the people are coming from the South right now and that’s 40 — I think it was 41 percent, that the Heritage Foundation report said come from the South. And I think that that is a big part of that statistic right there.
CALDARA: These are communities with very, very high unemployment? Let me tell you, in America right now, there are very few communities that have, quote, very, very high unemployment. There is no high unemployment.
CALLER: Exactly.
CALDARA: We forget what it was like under the Carter years. We forget double-digit unemployment rates — 13 percent. There is no high unemployment rate. It — what Rangel is trying to tell us is that the people who are going into the military are somehow victims and that they don’t have other choices. I, I hope you’re not silly enough to buy into that.
Whack!
The truth: the unemployment rate during President Carter’s term was never higher than 7.1 percent.
Smack!
The truth: the unemployment rates were significantly higher under President Ford (1975 — 8.5%) and President Reagan (1982 — 9.6%).
Crack!

Worst Radio Shows I’ve Ever Heard Coming from Los Angeles, and having listened to talk radio for over 15 years, I was stunned to discover this is the most popular talk radio show in Colorado. Two lawyers, one with severe nasal annoyance that still sends shivers up my spine, have the most popular radio show in Colorado?
I knew it was backwards here, but not THIS backwards. Tells me most of Colorado has never heard the John and Ken show in Los Angeles..i.e., a ‘real’ talk radio program.

BushCo cooks the Unemployment Numbers If you scratch the surface of the unemployment numbers, they are as crooked as everything else BushCo does.
They only count those people who are actively looking for work – those who have gotten discouraged and stopped looking are magically disappeared from the statistics.
If everyone who is employable and wants a job were included, our unemployment rate would be closer to 10%.

Disgraceful When Mr. Caldara isn’t in a puppy-love stupor over Ann Coulter, what kind of planet is he living on?
One wonders: has Mr. Caldara has ever tried living below the federal poverty level?
Has we ever waited for hours on end with children for a social worker at the Department of Human Services?
Has he ever even been on an Army base?
I’m sick of Libertarians advocating this “pick yourself up by your boot-straps” mentality when they have never struggled one day of their lives in this country. Everyone gets help from somewhere. It’s either from mommie and daddie or Uncle Sam, usually.

John Caldara won’t come out of the closet! John Caldara — 40-something, never married, no girlfriend, never had sex with a woman, never even dated a woman, doesn’t even like women (except mannish ones like Adam’s Apple Annie), nattily-dressed, neatly trimmed beard … You make the call! Another “catcher” on Rev. Ted’s team?

Check your facts, please. Jon Caldara is married and had a daughter with a congential defect of some sort about five or six years ago. I believe she died.
It was the only time I ever felt sorry for him.

okay fellas, let’s keep it clean So, I ask:
Jon Caldara best propagandist or best propagandist ever?

Okay lets keep it clean fellows. A liberal radical is no better than a conservative radical – when the going gets tough it seems like the easiest
attack is to call someone gay, racist, or xenophobe. I would like to see a nose to nose debate between snotty Norris and John Caldara on any subject. Yahhh think???

Do not censor them despite their ‘fatcs’ These right wing nuts always distort facts. The gov’t distorts facts (M3, inlfation, job growth). It’s merely another form of censorship (censors the truth). Censorship is becoming America’s favorite past-time. The US gov’t (and their corporate friends), already detain protestors, ban books like “America Deceived” America Deceived (book) from Amazon and Wikipedia, and fire 21-year tenured, BYU physics professor Steven Jones because he proved explosives, thermite in particular, took down the WTC buildings. As always, the internet (not MSM) calls out the Repukes when they lie.
